Billy is a registered Psychologist based in the Northern Rivers of NSW. He provides professional support and advice to individuals, families and organisations who are experiencing difficulties with a variety of issues. Billy has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, however has a particular interest supporting individuals with development disabilities, acquired and traumatic brain injuries and mental health concerns. Billy’s experience also includes behavioural disorders; learning difficulties (including ADHD); and supporting individuals with neurodiversity. Billy considers himself to be a neuroaffirmative Psychologist, with a broad interest in continued learning and training in supporting individuals with neurodiversity, navigate the often competing environment they live in. Billy is a neuortypical Psychologist who is very aware of his need to listen and learn from others, and provide opportunities for open discussion in sessions, while providing expert guidance on issues that may be causing tension and leading to barriers in their life.
Billy uses a warm and practical approach to foster reflection and personal development. His approach is to empower, educate and enhance individuals and families strengths to support goals through a range of therapeutic approaches. Billy has extensive training and experience in the use of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy as well as individual and group based emotional regulation training.
